WF announces “Giant by Nature” campaign

Initiative was created with the objective of highlighting footvolley as one of the several riches of Brazilian culture  

 A World Footvolley, an international reference in the sport, announces the “Gigante por Natureza” campaign during the Footvolley World Cup on Copacabana beach, an event that will take place between the 19th, 20th and 21st of November. With the action, the entity seeks to enhance the importance of a genuinely Brazilian sport.

In order to increase visibility, an audiovisual piece and a hashtag #apoieofutevôlei were created – which will be shared by all athletes participating in the event. In addition, the current first place in the world rankings, Vinicius Sousa, will challenge fans to respond as they support the sport's growth. 

“The campaign “Gigante by nature” seeks to give market relevance to footvolley, a sport that has always been seen as a beach game rather than an offer with commercial value. It is a repositioning of the footvolley product as a business, mainly highlighting its idols and the entertainment value", highlights Luiz Gomes, CEO and founder of World Footvolley. 

Footvolley, which was born in Copacabana and is already practiced by more than 300 thousand people in more than 30 countries, promotes the lifestyle and quality of life in Rio around the world. He was born GIGANTE, attracting, since the early decades, names like Garrincha, Romário, Ronaldinho and Neymar, icons of world football. 

“We increasingly want to value athletes and develop the sport's ecosystem. We are confident that this campaign will help us to highlight the importance of valuing a genuinely Brazilian sport and, therefore, attract more attention to strengthen footvolley in the sports market;" declares Gomes.

Reinforcing its socio-environmental purpose, the World Footvolley will promote with the Department of Environment the planting of seedlings and a recycling campaign, in addition to a free clinic for social projects. The event has the support of Department of Sports, Environment and RioTur, in addition to the brands Michelob Ultra, PlayerUm English Life, Granado, Botânica, Nitrix, Ibis Copacabana Posto 2 by bUP Hotels and FVS physiotherapy.
